By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using our Services on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2. Service Description

TextToSpeechAI provides a comprehensive text-to-speech platform that includes:

• Text-to-Speech Conversion: Converting written text into natural-sounding audio using various AI models including Piper, Bark, StyleTTS2, F5-TTS, and others.
• Voice Selection: Access to 350+ pre-built voices across 50+ languages with various styles, genders, and characteristics.
• Voice Cloning: The ability to create custom voice profiles from audio samples for personal or authorized use.
• Audio Download: Downloading generated audio in multiple formats (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC).
• API Access: Programmatic access to our TTS services for integration into your applications.
• Voice Training: Advanced voice training capabilities for creating custom AI voice models (premium feature).

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use our Services. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any available security features. TextToSpeechAI will never ask for your password via email or other communications.

3.4 One Account Per Person

Each user may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, abuse free credits, or for any other purpose is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

4. Credits and Payment

4.1 Credit System

TextToSpeechAI operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when you generate audio, with consumption varying based on:

• The length of text being converted (measured in characters)
• The voice and AI model selected (premium voices/models cost more)
• Additional features used (voice cloning, training, etc.)

4.2 Free Credits

New accounts receive 1,000 free credits upon registration as a one-time bonus. Free credits do not renew monthly. To continue using the service, users can purchase credit packs (one-time purchases that never expire) or subscribe to a monthly plan for the best value. Free credits cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.

4.3 Paid Plans and Purchases

We offer subscription plans and credit packages for users requiring additional credits. All purchases are:

• Processed through secure third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, or Square)
• Charged in US Dollars unless otherwise specified
• Non-refundable except as described in our refund policy

4.4 Subscription Terms

Subscription plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.5 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. After this period, refunds are provided at our discretion. Refunds are not available for:

• Credits that have already been consumed
• Accounts terminated for Terms violations
• Partial months of subscription service

4.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. For subscribers, price changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to use the Services to:

• Illegal Content: Generate audio containing illegal content, including but not limited to content that promotes violence, terrorism, child exploitation, or illegal activities
• Fraud and Deception: Create audio for fraudulent purposes, scams, phishing, or to impersonate others without consent
• Harassment: Produce content intended to harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person
• Misinformation: Generate fake news, deepfakes, or deliberately misleading content designed to deceive the public
• Spam: Create bulk unsolicited audio messages or robocalls
• Malware Distribution: Use our Services in connection with distributing malware or conducting cyberattacks
• Unauthorized Access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other user accounts, or connected networks
• Service Abuse: Overload, disrupt, or interfere with our Services or servers
• Circumvention: Bypass any security measures, rate limits, or access controls

5.2 Compliance

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of our Services complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to privacy laws, intellectual property laws, and telecommunications regulations.

6. Voice Cloning Policy

Voice cloning is a powerful feature that requires responsible use. By using our voice cloning services, you agree to the following:

6.1 Consent Requirements

You must have explicit, documented consent from any person whose voice you clone. This includes:

• Written permission from the voice owner
• Clear explanation of how the cloned voice will be used
• Agreement on the scope and duration of use

6.2 Permitted Uses

Voice cloning may be used for:

• Cloning your own voice for personal or commercial projects
• Creating voices for fictional characters you have rights to
• Business applications with proper authorization
• Accessibility purposes (e.g., creating a voice for someone who has lost their ability to speak)

6.3 Prohibited Uses

You must NOT use voice cloning to:

• Clone voices of celebrities, public figures, or any person without explicit consent
• Create non-consensual intimate or explicit content
• Impersonate others for fraud, deception, or harassment
• Generate fake statements attributed to real people
• Create content that could damage someone's reputation

6.4 Verification

We reserve the right to request proof of consent for any voice clone. Failure to provide such proof upon request may result in removal of the cloned voice and account termination.

7. Content Guidelines

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any text you submit for conversion and the resulting audio files. However, by using our Services, you grant us a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the Services.

7.2 Content Restrictions

You agree not to submit content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains personal information of others without consent
• Is defamatory, obscene, or pornographic
• Promotes discrimination or hatred
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

7.3 Content Monitoring

While we do not actively monitor all content processed through our Services, we reserve the right to review, remove, or refuse to process any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable for any reason.

7.4 Content Retention

Generated audio files are stored on our servers for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for downloading and backing up any audio you wish to keep permanently.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content provided by TextToSpeechAI, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services without express written permission.

Our Services utilize various open-source text-to-speech models, each with their own licenses:

• Piper: MIT License
• Bark: MIT License
• StyleTTS2: MIT License

Your use of audio generated by these models must comply with their respective licenses.

8.3 Your Generated Content

Subject to compliance with these Terms and applicable model licenses, you own the audio content you generate using our Services. You may use generated audio for personal and commercial purposes unless otherwise restricted by the specific model's license.

8.4 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about our Services, you grant us the right to use such feedback without compensation or attribution.

9. API Terms of Use

9.1 API Access

API access is provided to users on paid plans. Your API key is confidential and must not be shared or published. You are responsible for all API calls made with your key.

9.2 Rate Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan. Exceeding these limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension of API access. Current rate limits are:

• Pro Plan: 60 requests per minute, 10,000 requests per day
• Business Plan: 120 requests per minute, 50,000 requests per day
• Enterprise: Custom limits based on agreement

9.3 API Modifications

We may modify, update, or deprecate API endpoints at any time. We will endeavor to provide reasonable notice of breaking changes, but cannot guarantee backward compatibility indefinitely.

9.4 Prohibited API Uses

You may not use the API to:

• Build a competing service
• Resell API access without authorization
• Reverse engineer our systems
• Store or cache API responses beyond reasonable operational needs

10. Privacy and Data

• Warranties that the Services will meet your specific requirements

We do not guarantee that generated audio will be suitable for any particular purpose, will sound natural in all contexts, or will be free from artifacts or imperfections.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEXTTOSPEECHAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Cost of substitute services
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Services

In no event shall our total liability exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TextToSpeechAI and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Non-payment of fees
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Request by law enforcement or government agencies

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• All licenses granted to you will terminate
• You must cease all use of the Services
• Unused credits are forfeited and non-refundable
• We may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
